As a SUNY Geneseo junior pursuing a major in communication, I believe I have several characteristics and skills that are applicable to the real world.  My values, preferable working conditions, abilities, and goals align nicely with marketing, advertisement, and public relation positions.  As someone who was born and raised in the center of Upstate New York, I believe I have the blue collar characteristics that separate me from other possible job candidates.  Something I value in a company or corporation is a passion for daily work.  I want to work for someone who is not only passionate about holistic company goals, but I also want to work for someone who truly enjoys what they do.  I want working conditions to be neat, quiet, but collaborative.  I would like to work for a company that has obvious team goals that they overcome as a team, not individually in separate cubicles.  Some abilities I possess currently, either from experiences or education, include strong communication skills, the ability to work on a team, time management, and an analytical background.  Career goals for me include living in a mountainous region (for skiing) while eventually becoming a brand marketing manager for a company.
